STAYHOME中のいま、家で英語を勉強しつつ、
簡単に作れる料理をとAndy先生にお願いし
今回はイギリスの家庭料理を教えてもらいました♡
サーモンやタラ🐟を使ったパイ料理です！
話を聞いていたアメリカ人講師がパイ料理といったら
アップルパイ、ダービーパイ（derby pie）、チキンパイだけど、と。
魚を使うのはイギリスならではのようです。
／Here’s a simple fish pie recipe that’s a hearty winter warmer.＼
★Andy’s fish pie★
You will need:
1kg potatoes
Pack of fish of your choice eg.salmon/cod
4 spring onions
Peas
Butter
Flour
400ml milk
Mustard
1. Peel and halve 1kg of potatoes, then bring to the boil in a pan of water. Simmer for around 20 minutes until soft. Drain and mash with a splash of milk and knob of butter.
2. Meanwhile in another pan heat a tablespoon of flour with a tablespoon of butter until the butter melts to make a thick paste. Turn up the heat and slowly add the milk, stirring all the time to avoid it going lumpy. When it starts to thicken and bubble turn down the heat.
Add your fish, spring onions, handful of peas and teaspoon of mustard. Cook for a few minutes.
3. Pour your creamy fish into an oven proof dish and then spoon your mash on top flattening with a fork. You can sprinkle a little grated cheese over the top if you wish.
4. Put your pie in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes until it starts to brown.
5. Dish it up and tuck in!
