Summer Vacation in New Zealand
The New Zealand summer runs from December to February,
and we often take a long vacation,withsome people taking up to
four weeks off work!
Beach trips, road trips, and camping are all popular activities,
and with so many beaches, lakes and rivers, water sports are
usually on the list of things to do.
My best memories of summer holidays in New Zealand are camping with friends at the beach and snorkeling for seafood like crayfish and scallops.
We would barbecue our catch right on the beach,
and eat while watching the sunset!
Some of the best beaches are in Bay of Islands and Coromandel.
Popular lakes are Taupo and Rotoruain the North Island,and Queenstown
and Wanaka in the South Island.
They are very busy over Summer,but you can visit all year round.
I hope you have a chance to visit sometime.
