I recently saw a horror movie called Obsession.
The main character is a guy nicknamed “Bear” who is too shy to tell his feelings to Nikki, the young woman he likes.
One night, he finds a strange store that sells magical items, including a Wish Willow. A Wish Willow is a stick that gives you one wish if you break it.
Bear makes a wish that the young woman will “love me more than anyone in the world.” He doesn’t realize that the wish means she will never leave him. Ever.
The movie is interesting because it is more about how Bear is not the “nice guy” he thinks he is, especially in how he treats Nikki after she becomes obsessed with him.
Inde Navarrette, who plays Nikki, is excellent, and the director, Curry Barker, did a great job using a low-budget to create the most successful horror movie in history.
