Summer is here. But did know summer is very different in Japan and South Africa？
In Japan, summer is from June to August. It can be hot and humid and people enjoy fireworks, festivals, and summer food.
In South Africa, summer is from December to February. This means we enjoy summer during Christmas and New Year. One of my favourite things about South African summer is spending time outside. Cape Town is especially beautiful in summer. You can visit the beach and enjoy delicious food while spending time with friends.
Have you heard of the Cape Town Carnival？ It is a colourful celebration with music, dancing, amazing costumes and a big parade. This is a great way to celebrate South African Culture！
Summer in Japan is also exciting. I love seeing people wearing yukata and enjoying the warm evenings. No matter where you spend summer, it’s a great time to get outside, have fun and make unforgettable memories！

夏がやってきました。ですが、日本と南アフリカの夏は大きく違うことをご存知でしたか？
日本では、夏は6月から8月までです。蒸し暑くなることもありますが、人々は花火やお祭り、夏の料理を楽しみます。
南アフリカでは、夏は12月から2月までです。つまり、クリスマスや新年の時期に夏を楽しむことになります。南アフリカの夏で私が特に好きなのは、屋外で過ごすことです。ケープタウンは夏になると特に美しいです。ビーチを訪れたり、友達と一緒に過ごしながら美味しい食事を楽しんだりできます。
「ケープタウン・カーニバル」をご存知ですか？ 音楽やダンス、素晴らしい衣装、そして大規模なパレードが繰り広げられる、色鮮やかなお祭りです。これは南アフリカの文化を祝うのに最適な方法です！
日本の夏もまたワクワクします。浴衣を着て、暖かい夜を楽しむ人々の姿を見るのが大好きです。どこで夏を過ごしても、外に出て楽しみ、忘れられない思い出を作るには最高の季節です！
