If you love sports, I would recommend you watch some ice hockey.
The game is full of action and excitement.
The official winter sport of Canada. It was invented in Montreal, Canada in 1875.
The game is played with six players on each side. One goalie and five skaters.
The game begins in the center of the ice rink when the referee drops the hockey puck in, what is called, a faceoff. This is when two players from each side try to take possession of the puck first.
Hockey is a very physical sport where pushing and slamming a player from the opposite team is expected. A lot of times when there are any disagreements the players have with each other they can agree to fight. If they throw their gloves and sticks to the ice, they’re free to fight one-on-one. This usually continues for a short time before it’s stopped or if one of them falls off their feet.
However, the real excitement is watching how the players handle the puck in a match. They’re pushing and shoving each other for the puck, but when you see the puck control of a player, it’s always something worth cheering for. You can expect teams to set up one timers. That’s when a player passes the puck to their teammate and they shoot the puck from a completely different position.
The crowd also truly goes wild when a player scores a hat-trick. That’s when a player scores three goals in a single game. When that happens you can expect the fans to throw their hats into the ice rink. It’s great to see since it doesn’t happen all the time.
Hockey is a fun game for all ages and plenty of excitement for anyone that loves lots of action. Please give it a watch, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this game.
