🌷1：Where I am from:
I was born in Charleston, South Carolina. It is a beachside port city known for its special seafood and barbecue.
It is famous for having the most amount of churches in a city, and people across America call it the Holy City.
Because of this, it also has the most cemeteries, making it one of the most haunted cities in America.
When I was eighteen years old, I moved to Liverpool, England. My mothers side of the family is from England,
so it felt natural for me to move there. I attended the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts while I lived there, which was founded by Sir Paul McCartney of The Beatles. I lived there for nearly 7 years.
🌷2：What brought me to Japan:
My father lived in Okinawa in the 90s, and he always told me about how Japan is his favorite place in the world.
He brought lots of Japanese art with him, so I grew up admiring it on the walls of my house. My fater also made sure we ate Japanese food once or twice a week when I was a child.
I also grew up obsessed with Japanese pop culture. My first manga was Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeuchi and my first anime was the original Pokemon.
I still watch lots of anime and play all kinds of Pokemon, video games and cards. I also am a big fan of Japanese music, mainly visual kei bands like Luna Sea or Buck Tick,
J-rock bands like the brilliant green, J-pop like Tommy February 6 and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and J-metal like Hanabie, Babymetal, and Maximum the Hormone.
When I was a teen up until now, I have always enjoyed Harajuku fashion styles, like lolita, visual kei, and jirai kei.
I first visited Japan 3 years ago, and ever since that trip, I knew I wanted it to be my home.
🌷3：What do I enjoy doing in my free time:
I have a degree in Songwriting and Singing, and have my own punk rock band.
I am always writing new songs for my band and I play concerts all the time.
I started my band in Liverpool, but I brought it with me to Japan, so I play shows all around Tokyo.
It is based on horror stories like Dracula and Frankenstein. I have recorded an album and will release it soon.
I also love to play Nintendo games, like Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Mario games. I collect vintage Nintendo consoles, and brought my DS and 3DS with me when I moved to Japan.
I also am studying Japanese so I can make many Japanese friends and announce my band on stage when I play shows.
What I enjoy about teaching english: I enjoy everything about teaching English! Since I am a songwriter, I have always been very good with words, and I love getting to help people learn new words and grammar.
I also love getting to speak to new people and learning about their life and culture. Before I was an English teacher,
I was a singing teacher, so teaching comes naturally to me.
🌷1：出身地：サウスカロライナ州チャールストンで生まれました。海沿いの港町で、特産のシーフードとバーベキューで有名です。 市内に教会が最も多いことで知られ、全米の人々から「聖なる街」と呼ばれています。 そのため、墓地の数も非常に多く、アメリカで最も幽霊が出ると言われる都市の一つです。 18歳の時、イギリスのリバプールに移住しました。母方の家族がイギリス出身なので、私にとってリバプールへの移住はごく自然なことでした。リバプール滞在中は、ビートルズのポール・マッカートニー卿が創設したリバプール舞台芸術学院に通いました。リバプールには約7年間住んでいました。
🌷1：私が日本に来たきっかけは、 父が90年代に沖縄に住んでいて、いつも「日本は世界で一番好きな場所だ」と言っていたからです。 父はたくさんの日本の美術品を沖縄に持ってきてくれたので、私は幼い頃から家の壁に飾られたそれらの美術品を眺めて育ちました。父は私が子供の頃、週に1、2回は必ず日本食を食べさせてくれました。 また、私は幼い頃から日本のポップカルチャーに夢中でした。初めて読んだ漫画は武内直子先生の『美少女戦士セーラームーン』、初めて見たアニメは初代『ポケットモンスター』でした。 今でもたくさんのアニメを見たり、ポケモンやビデオゲーム、カードゲームなど、あらゆるジャンルのゲームを楽しんでいます。日本の音楽も大好きで、特にLUNA SEAやBUCK TICKといったヴィジュアル系バンド、 THE BRILLED GREENのようなJ-ROCKバンド、TOMMY FEAVER 6やきゃりーぱみゅぱみゅといったJ-POPバンド、そしてHANABIEE、BABYMETAL、MAXIMUM THE HORMONEといったJ-METALバンドをよく聴きます。 10代の頃から現在に至るまで、ロリータ、ヴィジュアル系、地雷系といった原宿ファッションスタイルがずっと好きでした。 3年前に初めて日本を訪れ、その旅以来、日本を自分の故郷にしたいと思うようになりました。
🌷1：生徒の皆さんへ： 英語は時に難しく感じるかもしれませんが、文の構造を理解すれば少し楽になります。 私を含め、NOVAの先生方は皆、皆さんの成功を願っています。皆さんをサポートするためにここにいますので、どんな質問でも遠慮なくしてください！ レッスン中はいつも皆さんの最大の応援者であり、お話するときはいつも笑顔でいます。 英語で曲を作るお手伝いをさせていただけたら嬉しいです！(^^♪ 私はリバプールにあるポール・マッカートニーの大学で作曲と歌唱の学位を取得しました。 つまり、ビートルズ公認です！
