年明けから今日まで、様々な場所に旅行に行っていたようです🚣‍♂️🧳

In Kyoto, I visited Chionin Temple for the first time, during its illumination event, surrounded by cherry blossoms. It was beautiful, and I was even able to take part in a Buddhist prayer session inside the main hall, using a wooden fish instrument at the end of the event. Furthermore, I also experienced a cherry blossom festival in Maruyama Park, where I got to try many kinds of delicious street food like doteyaki and kebabs.

In Mie, I visited the Mie Prefectural Museum in Tsu (or MieMu, for short). I went to the museum so that I could catch the final day of the Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition in Japan! The exhibition’s next venues are all in the USA, so I was lucky to be able to get a ticket so close to the end of the event’s Japanese tour. The exhibition not only displayed life-size skeletal reconstructions of fossil Pokémon, but also compared them side-by-side to the actual prehistoric animal skeletons that said Pokémon are based on, in addition to providing extensive information about both the fictional and ancient creatures.

After this, on my way back to Tsu Station, I stumbled upon another cherry blossom festival in a nearby park, so I also decided to attend that, and enjoyed a corn dog, some prawn crackers, and a bag of castella.

Over in England, I just spent a relaxing five days spending time with my family. I had not seen my family in over two years at that point, so it was nice to be with them again, no matter how short of a time it was. I was able to give some souvenirs from Japan to my nephew, niece, and mum, which they enjoyed, and I also met my younger sister’s new kitten for the first time.
