今日はこの度新しく入間校に来てくれました講師を紹介します🎀

Hello. My name is Michael. I’m from the the United States and my home state is Michigan. Michigan is mainly divided into two peninsulas as well as a number of islands. Surrounding Michigan are very large lakes known as “The Great Lakes.” When along the shore of one of these lakes, it’s like you’re looking out at the ocean as the other side is too far away to see. People often swim, fish, and boat in these lakes like people do in the ocean in Japan. There are also many sand dunes along these lakes. Sometimes you can find fossils in these lakes called “Petoskey stones.” These stones are actually made from coral from millions of years ago. I’ve found them myself on the beach as a kid. Michigan also has a wide range of weather. During the summer, temperatures can reach around 39 degrees. During the winter temperatures drop down to around -18 degrees, but can get colder and some years get down to -38 degrees. The winters are also very snowy, with sometimes as much as 60 cm of snow on the ground. Another thing Michigan is famous for is its cherries. Every year in summer, the National Cherry Festival is held. People sell cherry sauces, salsas, juices, dried cherries, cherry pies, cherry candies, chocolate covered cherries, and many more foods. Even outside of the festival, speciality cherry foods are commonplace in Michigan.
