Hello, my name is Brittany. I’m from Missouri, in the U.S.A. I’ve been teaching here at NOVA for almost 9 years. I enjoy playing board games, spending time with my husband and two rabbits, and singing at karaoke. Recently, I sang songs at karaoke for 7 hours with my husband. There are so many different genres of music to sing from. My husband likes to sing heavy metal and rock songs. He even sings some in Japanese, since he can speak Japanese pretty well. I’m not so good at Japanese, so I sing in English. I’m lucky that there are many English songs to choose from in Japanese karaoke. I love singing Disney, country, or pop songs the best. Trying your best to sing English songs at karaoke could be a good way to practice your reading and pronunciation skills. The lyrics on the screen can go quickly, so you have to read and sing fast! Do you have a favorite English song you want to sing at karaoke? Please try it some time. I look forward to hearing about my students’ singing experiences.
