My name is Calvin and I`m originally from America！
I`ve been living in Japan since March 2022, but I first lived in Japan from November 2019 to November 2020, in Aomori Prefecture.
My hometown is Washington DC, which most people seem to know, but very few people visit.
I know that NYC and LA are more popular, but if you have time, you should visit DC as well!
DC is the capital of America and even though the city isn`t very tall like Tokyo, it`s very wide like Kyoto.
And if you go to DC, don`t worry about paying to visit historical places, because most of the museums and memorials are free!
I also recommend coming to DC in the spring so you can see the Cherry Blossom festival.
DC has hundreds of cherry blossom trees that were given to American by the Mayor of Tokyo, Ozaki Yukio in 1912！
DC is also famous for its cupcakes
, so if you like sweets, I think you`ll like DC and all the cafes in Georgetown.
If you prefer hot dogs, take a look at Ben`s Chili Bowl, where you can see pictures of all past Presidents eating the same hot dogs you will eat there.
It`s tradition in America that the President eats from Ben`s Chili Bowl when he moves his family into the White House.
