In my hometown, Wichita, Kansas, my friends and family liked to spend our summers swimming and barbecuing.
Barbecuing is very popular in the American Mid-West, and especialy in Kansas, which is known for its Kansas City-style barbecue (which uses lots of thick, sweet, peppery barbecue sauce).
My father has a big backyard with a swimming pool, so we would usually relax out back and swim and eat. I also really enjoy riding my bike around the city on hot summer days!
