クリスマスツリーやイルミネーションが飾られたり、クリスマスソングが聞こえてきたりと、早くもクリスマスが感じられるこの頃ですね🎅
さて今日はChloe先生にイギリスのクリスマスについて聞いてみましたよ😉
I will tell you about how to make your Christmas more British.
First, put a Christmas Tree in your house. They were first popularized in the UK by Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria.
The UK is also famous for Christmas cake (fruit cake covered with marzipan and icing), so please try it!
Next, you must watch the Royal Christmas Message. Beginning in 1932, the Queen gives a speech on Christmas Day at 3pm in England.
Please be careful, you need to take down your Christmas tree within 12 days of Christmas or you’ll have bad luck for the next year.
