10月といえば「ハロウィン」ですね！
日本では飾りつけをしたり、お菓子を交換したり・・・ですが、
外国ではどのように過ごしているのでしょうか？
本日は立川校講師でニュージーランド出身のBrogan先生に
ニュージーランドでのハロウィンについてお話を伺いました！
Halloween in New Zealand
Since New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, Halloween in New Zealand is in late spring during day light savings time. That means that on Halloween night the sun doesn`t set until around 10 p.m. Since the sun stays out so late it is easy and safe for kids to go trick or treating, however this custom is less popular in New Zealand than it is in America. But for children who do go trick or treating they can enjoy many lollies (`candy` in New Zealand) such as wine gums, peanut slabs and jaffas. Halloween is also popular with university students who have parties around the campus.
