ここでは、”kind of”というフレーズを使って何か似ている
二つのものを説明する表現を練習します(^^)/🎵
A：What’s that? Is it a marathon?
B：It’s called an ekiden.
A：It looks like a marathon.
B：Well, it’s kind of like a marathon, but it’s run by relay teams.
Lesson 34 allows us to explain new things by comparing them to familiar things. For example, a Japanese koto is quite a bit like a harp, and a little bit like a piano. However, it’s not at all like a drum or a saxophone. One of the most exciting parts of learning a new language is the chance to share your culture with new people. Come and give it a try!
