B：No, what happened?
A：Apparently, he’s gotten engaged to Sharon.
B：Really? How’d you find out?
Lesson 26 is about sharing news. When we share news, we use “apparently” or “it seems” to show that it’s something that we’ve heard on tv or from a friend. For example, if I heard about a festival on the news, I might tell my friend “It seems there is a festival today”. Do you enjoy talking about news and sharing things with your friends?
