Hello.
My name is Alex and I am one of the teachers at Nishinomiya Kitaguchi school. I also teach lessons at Koshien and Sannomiya.
I am originally from the UK, born and raised in the large northern city of Sheffield. It is a city with a long history of heavy industry and sport culture; it is home to Sheffield FC, the oldest amateur football club in the world (created in 1847!). It is now a growing IT and technology centre, a hugely popular music scene in the Alternative Rock and Heavy Metal genres, and is home to one of the worlds top 30 Universities, The University of Sheffield.
I have lived in Japan for six years, working with NOVA for five of those years. Japan is a place with an outstandingly unique cultural mindset and a fascinating history, which is the primary reason why I chose to be here and stay for such a long time along with teaching English, hearing new perspectives and sharing different ideas and perspectives in return.
English is more than just a subject for you to learn; it is also one of the ways of bettering yourself and other people around, including even the teacher! I am here to teach you and allow you to learn and grow, but I am also continuing to learn and grow and you are very important in this .You can ask me about and talk about anything you wish, either to help you learn and understand English better, to explain new and interesting things to myself and other students, or to enjoy yourself and have a good time. Any topic or subject is fine; be confident, dont be shy, and believe that you can do it.
