新年あけましておめでとうございます🎍
レッスンが再開し、先生との会話の中で”Did you have a nice vacation?” や”What did you do?”と年末年始のお休みの過ごし方が話題になることが多いですよね！
特別なイベントがないと「何もしていない…」と答えてしまいがちですが、そんなときの話の返し方をMark先生がアドバイスしてくれました！

How was New Year? Did you do anything fun? Did you relax at home?
I often hear answers like ‘nothing special’ when I ask that question.
Even if ‘nothing special’ happened, there’s still lots of topics we can use to practice English with!
For example;
I’m still sleepy when I leave my home. When I’m at the train platform I suddenly worry…
I think ‘did I lock my door?’ and then I run back to my house to check!
It’s usually locked when I check. But sadly I miss the train and have to wait 15 minutes for the next one.
I’m late for work and maybe my boss will be angry! Whoops!
Anyway, let’s do our best with English this year, too!

なるほど！「何をしたか」という事実だけではなく日常に起こったことを説明するのもいい練習になりますよね💡
次からは”nothing special”と返すのではなく、身近に起こった出来事をお話できるように準備しておくのもいいのではないでしょうか😉
