5月のブログでも告知しておりましたが、Cydneyがついに楽しみにしていた、ハリーポッターのテーマパーク「ワーナー ブラザース スタジオツアー 東京　メイキング・オブ・ハリー・ポッター」に今月行ってきました！その感想を書いてくれたのでご紹介致します。たくさん書いてくれたので3回に分けてご紹介致します。

🧙Cydneyがハリーポッターのテーマパーク行ってきた③🧙

After the tour, I stopped for a bite at The Chocolate Frog Cafe, which had tables like open chocolate frog containers. I bought a Chocolate Frog cupcake and a shake. Everything was delicious. I even got to keep my Butterbeer mug! I bought myself a Chocolate Frog keychain and a Hogwarts Express t-shirt at the cool gift shop out front before heading on home.

I had a great time and I highly recommend it to any Harry Potter fans, whether you loved the books, the movies, or both!

🧙Cydneyがハリーポッターのテーマパーク行ってきた②🧙

At the Harry Potter Studio Tour, I had the chance to try three of its four food shops. Each place had its own magical theme. The Backlot Cafe and the Butterbeer Bar were situated halfway through the tour, giving visitors the chance to sit and relax a bit before carrying on. I got the Gryffindor Plate at the cafe then enjoyed a Butterbeer outside where I could see several other sets like Privet Drive and the Hogwarts Bridge.

🧙Cydneyがハリーポッターのテーマパーク行ってきた①🧙

This month, I went on the new Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour! It was built where Toshimaen used to be, up near Ikebukuro and Nerima. It was so much fun! Getting to see all the real sets, props, and costumes was just so cool. I also learned a lot about how things were made and shot that I had never heard before. One of the coolest but also freakiest things was an animatronic Hagrid head they built so his actor could have a double. It could blink, look around, and move its mouth. It really startled me when it opened its eyes as I was staring at it. Another woman screamed, it was so unexpected.

前回のブログに引き続き、本日もCaileeのアメリカ帰省の思い出ご紹介致します。先月Caileeが2週間ほどアメリカに帰省していて、楽しいことがいっぱいだったようで、たくさんの思い出を書いてくれたのでちょっとずつご紹介致します！

🗽Caileeのアメリカ帰省の思い出⑧🗽

After my time in the United States and New Jersey, it was time to say goodbye to my family and friends. I remember feeling so sad going to the airport, especially when my parents were driving me over. I was a bit nervous about missing my flight, but I was also nervous about leaving my family. While I wanted to go back to Japan, I also felt like not much time was spent with my family. I wanted to spend more time with them and to also see more of New York City and the state of New Jersey. I remember my parents getting so emotional about me leaving, which made me emotional too. However, my family will come to visit Japan in August! I’m looking forward to showing them around the place I currently live in and to tour around the country with them!

前回のブログに引き続き、本日もCaileeのアメリカ帰省の思い出ご紹介致します。先月Caileeが2週間ほどアメリカに帰省していて、楽しいことがいっぱいだったようで、たくさんの思い出を書いてくれたのでちょっとずつご紹介致します！

🗽Caileeのアメリカ帰省の思い出⑦🗽

I also saw my friends while I was visiting the United States. We went to Philadelphia to go out to dinner and catch up! Most of my friends had missed me very much, and some even said how they wanted to come to Japan to visit me in the future. However, being in Philadelphia, which is a popular and well-known city in the United States, it was so vastly different from Tokyo. One thing is apparent, but Tokyo is so much cleaner than Philadelphia. Philadelphia has many trash cans and recycle bins in the street, but it’s very common to litter in the city, so there is more trash around for people to step on and trip over. Another difference is the fashion and style. Many people in the United States like to dress more causal and some wear their gym clothes when shopping or meeting friends. I feel like in Tokyo, everyone dresses very nice and cute! There is also more options for food in the United States compared to Japan. And the portions are larger too! While in Tokyo, there are a variety of foods from different cultures, but I mostly see more Japanese food in restaurants and stores.

🗽Caileeのアメリカ帰省の思い出⑥🗽

After the graduation ceremony and after the students celebrate their graduation with their family and friends, the students are then taken on a field trip to an indoor amusement park call “Project Graduation”. This is where the graduating seniors all come together to have fun at the indoor amusement park all night. The field trip goes from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day. I experienced something similar when I graduated from high school in 2016. The next day, my sister came home in the morning exhausted. She had so much fun with her friends, but she slept all day to make up for the sleep she had lost.

前回のブログに引き続き、本日もCaileeのアメリカ帰省の思い出ご紹介致します。先月Caileeが2週間ほどアメリカに帰省していて、楽しいことがいっぱいだったようで、たくさんの思い出を書いてくれたのでちょっとずつご紹介致します！

🗽Caileeのアメリカ帰省の思い出⑤🗽

Once the ceremony was over, we all went out to lunch to celebrate. My sister wanted to go to a hibachi restaurant, since she loves Japanese food, and the food was so delicious. At a hibachi restaurant, the cook likes to put on a show for the customers, such as using fire, games, and knife tricks for entertainment. My family and I were having a fun time! However, I spoke Japanese to the cook, thinking he understood what I was saying. After saying “thank you” in Japanese, he said “that’s cute” in Japanese. So, I asked him if he spoke Japanese in Japanese. The cook did not understand what I was saying. After asking him again in English, he only said he understood Japanese a little bit, but not so much. I was a bit embarrassed, but also felt proud of my Japanese speaking ability.
