いよいよハロウィンが近づいてきましたね🎃
今回はイギリス出身のMichael先生から
10月に実際に行っていたハロウィンの思い出を紹介してくれました🌜
Hi everybody, my name`s Michael. I`ve been living in Tokyo for 4 years and I work at Nippori on Mondays and Thursdays at the moment.
I come from England and today I`m going to write about October in the UK. The only thing I can think of is Halloween! I`m not sure if I`m forgetting something as I haven`t been home for so long but I guess I`m going to talk about Halloween in England.
A lot of Halloween in England is the same as in Japan. Kids draw the same pictures, there are TV specials and for adults it can be a reason for parties and going drinking.
One thing that is common in England is trick or treating. Kids go from door to door wearing costumes. They knock and when the door is answered they say `trick or treat`. The adult must either give them candy or the kids might come back and play a trick. Some tricks can be quite bad…… So on Halloween many people buy a lot of candy to give out. Some of us just switch off our lights and don`t answer the door though!
Anyway, hope everyone has a great Halloween this year, feel free to ask me about some of the tricks if I see you in class!
