一体どんな文化の違いがあるのでしょうか？

Halloween is celebrated in both Japan and America, but the traditions are a little different. In America, Halloween is mainly a holiday for children. On October 31, children dress up as their favorite character and go trick-or-treating from house to house. People often decorate their homes with pumpkins, ghosts, and other spooky decorations and leave the porch light on to signal they are participating (giving out candy). Halloween parties and costume events are also popular with teenagers and adults. (We dont want to grow up from the free candy days)
In Japan, Halloween has become popular in a different way. Instead of going door to door for candy, many people enjoy dressing up and going to Halloween events. Cities such as Tokyo and Osaka often have large costume parties and parades. Japanese Halloween is especially famous for creative and detailed costumes, you are very good at cosplay and the world knows!
Another difference is food. In America Halloween is all about candy and pumpkin flavored drinks and sweets. In Japan, Halloween-themed sweets, cakes, and drinks are somewhat popular in shops and cafes.
Even though Japanese and American Halloween cultures are a bit different, both are great opportunities to have fun, dress up, and enjoy the spooky season!
