It’s finally September! That means, hopefully, soon we will be getting back to cooler weather and I can leave my nice cool air conditioned house and start to go out for cycles again.
While many people prefer the hotter seasons, due to festivals and other events like the school summer vacation periods, I’ve always preferred the cooler seasons of autumn/fall and especially winter.
The main reasons I enjoy autumn and winter nowadays is that I get the chance in autumn to go out cycling around Niihama, Saijo and Shikoku-chuo; and in winter it’s the longest annual break period so I get a lot of chances to relax and go sightseeing.
Lastly, as I often joke, it is easier to get warm in winter than cool in summer.
