Greetings from Paris!
Hello, everyone! My name is Paris, and I’m an English teacher. I’m from New Zealand, but I moved to Japan because of my family and friends. Growing up, I was exposed to Japanese culture, food, and stories, so I became interested in Japan from a young age.
My Hobbies:
I have several hobbies that I enjoy in my free time.
One of my biggest hobbies is keeping up with beauty trends. I’m also a makeup artist, so I love learning about new makeup products and trying different looks.
I also enjoy crafting. Making things with my hands is relaxing, and I love seeing an idea become something real.
Another hobby of mine is eating! I enjoy trying different foods, especially Japanese food. I also like sightseeing and travelling, because I can discover new places and make new memories.
Why I Came to Japan:
I moved to Japan because I wanted to experience Japanese culture for myself. I had already learned about Japan through my family, friends, and the things I watched growing up.
Now that I live here, I can enjoy Japanese food, visit interesting places, and learn more about the culture every day. Living in Japan has also helped me grow as a person.
My message to students:
Many students tell me that they worry about speaking English. They think they need to speak perfectly, but you don’t need to be perfect to communicate!
Learning a language takes time. Making mistakes is a normal part of learning, and every mistake is a chance to improve.
My advice is to keep trying, even when something feels difficult. You don’t have to become fluent in one day. Just try to make a little progress every day.
Be proud of your effort, not just your results. If you keep practicing, you will be surprised by how much you can improve!
