NEW MEXICO – My Hometown
Hello students!
I’m Fey and I’m from the United States. I’m from the state of New Mexico! Have you ever heard of New
Mexico? Many people don’t know about my state so I want to introduce it to you!
The first thing that you should know about New Mexico is the cuisine. Food from here is very tasty and
can be quite spicy! We are best known for growing delicious Hatch Chile. We add it to many of our most
popular dishes.
We even have a State Question, “Red or Green?” This is asked in local restaurants to
customers who want red or green chile added to their food.
New Mexico’s culture is a mix of Mexican and Native American cultures. There are many unique houses
called “pueblo houses” or “adobe houses” that are a staple in New Mexico. They are perfect for the dry
hot climate of the desert land! One day, I’d like to live in this style of house!
I hope you can visit my state and enjoy the beautiful architecture and amazing food!
Do you like spicy food? Let me know what kind of spicy food you like !
