寒い日が続きますがいかがお過ごしでしょうか？❄️
今年も残りわずかとなりました。今年の目標、皆様達成できましたか？🏅
本日は、新居浜校の先生２人の冬の過ごし方についてご紹介いたします。
☆アメリカ出身 Corinna先生👩🏼
Wintertime is very important to me. It’s a season in America when we celebrate two big holidays back to back. Christmas is the first major holiday.
For my family, Christmas is about being together and showing love for the people in our lives. Some of our Christmas traditions include watching movies together, baking Christmas cookies, and opening one present on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, we always wake up early to open presents and make a big breakfast to enjoy together.
The next major holiday is New Year’s. This holiday is also super fun, but for different reasons. New Year’s is a lighthearted, exciting celebration! Many people in America use this opportunity to throw parties and invite friends over. There’s usually a lot of food and music for dancing.
We also have a tradition across America of watching the ball drop in New York’s Times Square. It’s broadcast on TV for everyone to watch. It’s a loud, festive, and fascinating tradition!

☆オーストラリア出身 Jeremy先生👨🏼
Winter is probably my favourite season.
Firstly, back in Australia, my birthday occurs in winter. (Although in Japan, my birthday is now in summer.)
Secondly, here in Japan, winter is the main time when I am able to go sightseeing around Japan. (Golden week I usually have other plans and Obon is too hot.) Over the last 8 years, I have traveled widely around Chugoku and Shikoku, from Kochi’s Muroto in the south to Tottori’s Yonago and Yamaguchi’s Hagi in the north and as far west as Kokura in Kitakyushu.
Of all the places I’ve visited, my favourite is probably Akiyoshi in Yamaguchi. While the caves (Akiyoshidou) are beautiful, the plateau (Akiyoshidai) above is the one place I always keep wanting to return to.
Lastly, as I often joke, it is easier to get warm in winter than cool in summer.
