11月27日の「サンクスギビングデー」をテーマに
講師がエッセイを書いてくれたのでご紹介します！

Thanksgiving is coming in November!
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday in the United States and Canada, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, to give thanks for the year’s harvest and blessings. It is a time for families and friends to gather for a large feast, often featuring turkey, and to reflect on things they are grateful for.
Thanksgiving food traditionally features a roasted turkey as the centerpiece, accompanied by many side dishes like stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and sweet potatoes or yams. Common desserts include pumpkin pie and pecan pie.
Drinks include punch with seasonal ingredients like cranberry or pumpkin, apple cider, and spices, and a Mulled Wine Sparkler.
What do you do on Thanksgiving Day?
Watch a Thanksgiving parade: Many people watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or other local parades.
Watch or play football: Watching an American football game is a long-standing tradition.
Eat a large dinner, often featuring turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie.
Break the wishbone: A fun activity for good luck after the meal.
Go shopping: The day after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday, which is a major shopping day.
Go for a run: Some people participate in a “turkey trot” race on Thanksgiving morning.
