今回は、ハロウィーンイベントを担当します講師からのメッセージをお送りいたします！

Hello everybody,

Thank you all for a fun summer at Nova. I hope you are doing well at the beginning of Fall.
Halloween is one of the main holidays of Fall, and it’s celebrated on October 31st. It comes
from a Christian holiday that was called All Hallows Eve. Similar to Obon in Japan, it’s
believed that spirits of dead ancestors come back to visit their families. In some countries,
like Mexico, people go to their families graves and put their favorite food and drinks there.
It’s like a party.

In America, the main activities on Halloween are dressing up in costumes and going
trick-or-treating. Most schools allow children to wear their costumes at school. Many
schools have contests and prizes for the best costumes. Have you ever dressed up in
a costume? Please let us know in your next class.
