9月がスタート、まだまだ暑い日が続いてますが、
今年の夏、皆様はどのようにお過ごしでしたか？
本日は、Charlie先生に夏の思い出を聞いてみました(^_-)-☆

Has anyone done any travelling?
I went to Matsushima for 2 days.
It was amazing!
I heard that Matsushima was amongst the top 3 most beautiful places
in Japan, so I wanted to see.
We went on a boat tour of all the islands and learnt about Date Masumune. The islands were so beautiful.
We also walked along one of the famous red bridges to Oshima island,
which was amazing!
When I travel I prefer to buy handmade souviners from workshops or
classes. I think it`s a fun activity and adds a personal touch!
So we went to Naohide Kokeshi shop and painted our own Darumas,
which were so cute! I love Darumas so I was very excited.

We also went to Entsu-in temple and made these bracelets,
each crystal/stone had a different use and meaning.
I recommend trying this if you visit Matsushima.
As you know, Matsushimas famous food are Oysters.
They were so delicious, despite it not being the season for them.
My favourite dish we tried was an oyster curry pan.
It was so yummy, I want to eat it again.
I also stayed in a lovely,
traditional Ryokan for the first time which was such a cool experience.
I think Matsushima might become one of my favourite places in Japan!
Next I hope to visit Yamagata and make a shogi piece.
