Hello everyone! It’s been very hot in Japan recently so I hope everyone has been taking care while outside in the sun and making sure to drink plenty of water! Growing up in London, the summer has always been pretty bearable, with temperatures hovering somewhere around 25-30 degrees, but since moving to Japan back in 2022, summer has become much harder! In London, I would look forward to summer the most as I would have time off from school and would usually spend my days at home playing video games and watching movies! Summer in London didn’t really feel much like a big change, as it would still often rain and it wouldn’t be too hot. I would much prefer to stay inside during summer as I wasn’t much of a summer person! While I’m still not much of a summer person now, there are many exciting things to look forward to about Japanese summer! The noise of the cicadas, the summer festivals, the fireworks, shaved ice and watermelon and of course Obon! Do you have any plans for the summer vacation? Please let me know the next time we meet!
