“Farther and Further”
These two words can cause even a native speaker difficulties, so to really impress your English speaking friends, here’s how to use them correctly.
– Farther is a distance, physically.
E.g： He hit the ball farther than me.
– Further for figurative, non-literal or imaginary.
E.g： He will go much further than me in school.
The easy way to remember this, is to note that farther has FAR in it, far for distance.
So let’s fill in the blanks.
