Amarin wins again!
The famous,and very delicious,Amarin strawberry from Saitama prefecture has won the Gold medal for the third year in a row at The Japan National Strawberry Championship.
Development of the Amarin began sweet Yayoihime type and the aromatic Fukuharuka.
In 2016 the Amarin was recognised as a variety, and produstion started on fayms only in Saitama prefecture.
The amount of Amarin strawberries that can be harvested is very small.
The fruit is large and deep delicate taste, and is rather expensive.
It is a special treat to be savoured, and it also has manny health-benefits.
