ご紹介します。
・“Oita river flooded yesterday.”(大分の川が氾濫した)
flood の意味：氾濫する、水浸しになる
・“It’s raining cats and dogs.”
猫と犬の喧嘩のように激しい雨が降っているという意味です。
・“It’s pouring outside. ”
（水を注ぐ＝pour）
水を注ぐように激しい雨のことを指します。
・“Under the weather.” 気分が悪い、体調が悪い
例文）I’m under the wether. /I feel under the weather.
・“calm before the storm.” 台風の前の静けさ
・“come rain or shine.”
（例文）I will visit you come rain or shine.
(解説）
I will do something no matter what happen.
If it’s rain outside or sunny outside I will visit you anyway.
The weather is not going to stop me.
