今回はTravel Englishで使える便利なフレーズと
気をつけたいポイントをNicに教えてもらいました！
1) Asking for directions
– When you travel, it’s very important to know how to get around.
👆Ex.
” Does this city have a train? ”
” Where is the station? ”
” How can I get to the grocery store? ”
⚠Careful: Some towns or cities don’t have public transportation.
You might have to use a service like Uber.
2) Meeting new people
– Meeting new people is fun, but we should be careful what we say.
👆Ex.
” Hi! I’m John! ” ⭕
” What your name? ” ❌
” Are you from here? ” ⭕
” Where do you live? ” ❌
” I’m going to the movies. Do you want to come? ” ⭕
” Come with me to the movies. ” ❌
⚠Careful: In most western countries it can be rude not to look at
someone’s eyes when you’re speaking.
3) Getting help
– Sometime we get into trouble and need help. It’s good to know
what to say.
👆Ex.
” I’m lost. Can you help me? ”
” Excuse me. Can I use your phone to make a call? ”
” I need help! Where is the police station? ”
” I feel very sick! Please call an ambulance! ”
