Hello eveyone!
I hope you are all well, and you haven’t been too cold recently. I thought Spring had sprung, but I guess I was wrong.
However, it seems that the cherry blossoms have finally started blossoming. I took some pictures of a couple of trees by a temple on my day off this week, and I also saw a beautiful tree in full bloom on my walk to work today! Are you planning to go cherry blossom viewing this year? Will you have a Hanami party? What do Japanese people usually do, eat and drink at a Hanami party?
My favourite place in Nagasaki is either Kazagashira Park or the park at Nishiyama Dam. How about you? Where’s your favourite place in Nagasaki City/ Nagasaki Prefecture? Please come and tell me!
In the UK, this is also the time of year we do Spring cleaning! We often open up all the windows and clean the house from top to bottom. I think it’s a really good idea, because it helps to make the house feel fresh again after the long winter. It’s also a good opportunity to throw out lots of clothes and things that we don’t use or need anymore. Do you do anything similar? How often do you have a big clear out and throw away lots of old stuff?
