Spring is finally here!
Thank you all for recommending so many fantastic places to see cherry blossoms recently. Seeing the beautiful Sakura never fails to put a big smile on my face.
Although we haven’t said goodbye to the cold evenings just yet, the days are slowly beginning to feel warm and the birds are starting to sing. Spring in Japan has such a wondeful atmosphere and feels truly magical. Each day I see more and more people out enjoying the sunshine.
I’m curious to know what your favourite Spring activity is?
I’m very excited to go hiking and camping in Okutama. It’s absolutely perfect this time of year!
Can you recommend any places or activities?
In Australia, Spring is very popular with surf culture. The weather is finally a little warmer, but the ocean is still quite cold. So you don’t see too many people out swimming. However, the surfers strap on their wetsuits and endure the elements, because Spring has excellent wave conditions. Around the same time you’ll start to see many people having picnics and BBQ’s on the beaches. This is very popular because there aren’t many mosquito’s and we can see a lot of beautiful pink sunsets over the ocean. This is also a very busy time for cafes and restaurants to re-open their outdoor areas so people can enjoy eating and drinking outside. You can also find a lot of rooftop bars with beautiful city views of the harbour. I highly recommend visiting Australia in Spring!
In Australia you will also see a big change in the type of food people eat. People tend to start eating a lot more fruit and vegetables, but you will notice that they also start drinking a lot more beer as it becomes warmer.
There are many famous festivals all around Japan during April. I’ve always been very interested in going to Fuji Shibazakura festival, Kamakura festival and Yayoi festival in Nikko, but unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance.

ついに春がやってきました！
最近、桜の名所をたくさん教えてくださり、
本当にありがとうございました。
美しい桜を見ると、いつも心が温かくなります。
まだ夜は肌寒いですが、日中は少しずつ暖かくなり、
鳥たちもさえずり始めました。
日本の春は本当に素晴らしい雰囲気で、まるで魔法のようです。
日差しを楽しむ人が増えているのを、毎日感じます。
皆さんの春の楽しみは何ですか？
奥多摩でハイキングとキャンプをするのが今からとても楽しみです。
この時期はまさに最高の季節ですよね！
おすすめの場所やアクティビティがあれば教えてください。
オーストラリアでは、
春はサーフィン文化にとってとても魅力的な季節です。
ようやく少し暖かくなってきましたが、
海はまだかなり冷たいので、泳いでいる人はあまり見かけません。
しかし、サーファーたちはウェットスーツを着て、
厳しい寒さにも耐えながら海に出ます。
春は波のコンディションが最高だからです。
同じ頃になると、ビーチでピクニックやバーベキューを
楽しむ人がたくさん見られるようになります。
蚊が少なく、海に沈む美しいピンク色の夕日を眺めることができるため、
とても人気があります。
カフェやレストランも屋外席を再開し、
人々が外で飲食を楽しめるようになるため、
この時期は大変賑わいます。
港の美しい街並みを一望できるルーフトップバーもたくさんあります。
春のオーストラリア旅行は本当におすすめです！
オーストラリアでは、人々の食生活にも大きな変化が見られます。
果物や野菜を食べる機会が増える一方で、
暖かくなるにつれてビールを飲む量も増える傾向があります。
日本では4月に各地で有名な祭りが開催されます。
私は富士芝桜まつり、
鎌倉まつり、日光の弥生まつりにずっと興味がありましたが、
残念ながらまだ行く機会がありません。
春に何かお祭りに行かれることはありますか？
日本の春の文化についてもっと深く知るのが楽しみです。
