For children, the highlight of the day is the Easter Bunny, who leaves behind baskets filled with chocolate, jelly beans, and small toys to find when they wake up.
Before the holiday, families boil and dye eggs in many different colors to hide them for an exciting egg hunt. After the games, everyone enjoys a big dinner that usually includes honey-glazed ham, deviled eggs, and mashed potatoes. It is a relaxing day to eat sweets and spend time together before the busy school week begins again.
