京都に短期留学経験あるRay先生ですが、お正月in日本は初めての経験でした。

今回はRayのお正月休みについてシェア！

Happy New Year! For this New Years I didn’t do anything special. I just watched movies with my husband and we forced ourselves to stay awake until midnight even though we were so tired. In America normally we have a big party with our friends on New Years Eve and sleep all day on New Years Day. When I was a kid the tradition was to go out on the front porch of our house at midnight and bang pots and pans and make lots of loud noises with our neighbors. One year I broke my dad’s favorite curry spoon because I hit it so hard and loud. As an adult the tradition is to kiss someone at midnight to bring good luck in love the next year. In Japan, New Years is more of a family holiday so many of my friends here were traveling or busy. Next year I want to go to the shrines and see the bonfire for the decorations even if it’s really early in the morning.

おっ、寝正月だったんですね。

大晦日にパーティーをして新年は眠りこける💤がRayのいつもの新年。

子供の頃、近所の人をまきこんで騒音を楽しんでいたら、パパのお気に入りのスプーンを壊したの。めっちゃバンバン叩きつけてたんだよね(￣ー￣)ﾆﾔﾘ。どんだけ力強かったのか・・・　でも、楽しかったの。わかるよね？(*^-^*)　と。

大晦日のキスはわかるけど、この騒音遊びは何か意味とかあるのかしら？
