お寺やお家で家族とゆっくりと過ごすのが、日本の定番!!
海外の年越しやアメリカでの年越しはどんなものなのか

New years in the US.
On New Year’s Eve in the US, families and friends normally gather to celebrate the arrival of the new year. People gather at parties, celebrate at home, or attend a new year’s countdown celebration. The big countdown celebrations occur all over America, but the most famous countdown occurs in Times Square in New York City. Those watching on television at home can see the New Years ball drop at midnight, ringing in the new year as January 1st arrives. Usually there are fireworks, people drink champagne, and couples exchange a kiss at 12:00. The song “Auld Lang Syne” which was written by Scottish poet, Robert Burns is normally sung during the celebrations after midnight to say goodbye to the past year.
