最近は街並みがキラキラしていて、気分が高まりますっ♫

今回は天王洲アイル校で1番の元気いっぱいな講師 Leverne先生に
South AfricaでのChristmasの過ごし方を聞いてみました🎀✨
Christmas in South Africa doesn`t look like the snowy scenes on postcards and that`s what makes it special. Our Christmas falls right in the middle of summer, when days are long and the sun is blazing. Families come together for a big lunch to celebrate.Instead of gathering around a fire, we gather outside or indoors around a table. Our tables are covered with many dishes. The menu usually consists of beef, chicken, lamb and pork, alongside two or three different salads,and vegetables. No South African Christmas is complete without desserts. We make at least three or four desserts. Among the most popular South African desserts, we have: Malva pudding – a moist spongy baked pudding with apricot jam, soaked in a warm, creamy caramell-ike sauce; Peppermint crisp tart, made of crushed tennis biskuits, whipped cream, caramel and crumbled peppermind crisp chocolate bars. Desserts are not just food, they are part of celebration, enjoyed slowly with family.
