11月も早いもので後半に突入しましたね！
あっという間に街がクリスマスモードになっていきますが、
アメリカなどの国ではその前にもう1つイベントがあります！👀
それは、「サンクスギビングデー」！
イベント自体はご存知の方が多いと思いますが、
何を目的とした日なのか詳しくは知らない方もいるのではないでしょうか？？
そこで今回は、人気講師Dale👨🏻がサンクスギビングデーについて

Thanksgiving!
In America, Thanksgiving is a popular holiday where family and friends gather for a big feast where everyone says what they are grateful for. People can be grateful for many reasons, such as their family, career, and events that have happened in the past year. I am grateful for living in Japan, and having a great family and group of friends. What are you grateful for?
Another big aspect of Thanksgiving is the food. Many common types of food people eat during Thanksgiving, are turkey, ham, mash potatoes, and many other types of dishes. Which Japanese holidays also revolve around food and family. My favorite dish is green bean casserole. It consists of green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and fried onion pieces, that is baked in the oven.
TV can also be an important part of Thanksgiving as well. American Football always has games on Thanksgiving day, and many people gather and watch them. If people are not interested in football, then there are other tv specials that are on. One particularly popular Thanksgiving special is: A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Characters like Charlie Brown and Snoopy have Thanksgiving with their friends and family.
Since Thanksgiving is held on the fourth Thursday of November, the next day is also special. On Thursday night and Friday morning, most stores participate in an event called Black Friday. Black Friday is when many stores offer discounted items that people can buy for Christmas presents.
日本にもサンクスギビングデーにあたる「勤労感謝の日」が11月23日にありますね！
ただの祝日として過ごすのではなく、
家族や友人、そして食べ物などにも感謝して過ごしてみましょう💚
