そんなJeremy先生が帰ってきて、旅の感想をたくさん書いてくれたので皆様にご紹介いたします。🤗🎈
Recently, for the obon holidays, I went on a three week vacation to Wakkanai in Hokkaido. As Wakkanai is the northernmost town in all Japan, it is quite far away, so I decided to travel there and back using the “Seishun 18 kippu” and take my time.
Along the way, I visited many different places and prefectures: Nagoya in Aichi, Shibukawa in Gunma, Sendai in Miyagi, Aomori city in Aomori, Sapporo in Hokkaido, Niigata city in Niigata and Fukui city in Fukui.
Apart from Wakkanai, my favorite location was Fukui. In particular, I really enjoyed visiting Eiheiji temple. Eiheiji is a large old “Soto Zen” temple, but is still very active with many Buddhist monks living there. When I went there, it was raining quite heavily which gave it a very mystical feeling. Because of this, I plan to try and visit Fukui again in the near future.
