そんなDavid先生に南アフリカのLocal Foodについてお話を聞きました👏
South African local food (BBQ)
In South Africa it is common for families to enjoy a BBQ together at one’s home.
South Africa is famous for good weather and great meat and produce. Maybe families and neighbours come together and share some cooked meat and dishes by the fire of a BBQ set with a local South African
spice mix.In South Africa we also call BBQ – ‘Braai’ and in September we also have a holiday known as ‘National Braai Day – Heritage Day’.
Every week it is normal for families to have a BBQ and usually includes beef, chicken, lamb, and other meats.
As well as salad, potatoes, and other vegetables.
In some families one person is usually responsible for making BBQ’s – usually the dad or grandpa of the house. BBQ competitions are also quite common as families argue about who has the best BBQ.
