前回のブログに引き続き、本日もイギリス・ロンドン出身の講師、Sachinがロンドンのおすすめスポットを教えてくれたのでご紹介いたします。
ロンドンというと、「ビッグ・ベン」や「ロンドン・アイ」などが有名ですが、今回は、地元民ならではのおすすめの場所を教えてくれました。
ロンドンは人気の観光地なので、ご旅行や留学で行かれる方も多いのではないかと思いますので、ぜひ参考にしてみてくださいね！4つおすすめしてくれたので、2つずつご紹介致します。

③Hampstead Heath
If you would like to visit a park while you are in London, I highly recommend Hampstead Heath. This is in North London and if you visit on a weekend morning you will see lots of locals going for walks with their families. The park is very big and also hilly and if you walk to the top of Parliament hill you can experience a beautiful view of London. If the weather is nice, this is a really nice spot to have a picnic and also to see the sunset. If you are feeling extra brave you can also swim in the famous Hampstead Ponds. Although the water is very cold, it is refreshing and you can feel like you are one of the locals. The ponds are closed during the Winter season though, so if you would like to visit you should check that they are open.
④Borough market
Borough market is a famous food market in central London, just south of the River Thames. It is pretty big and you will be able to find many different types of food here. Lots of the stalls have free samples that you can try so I recommend trying as much food as possible. This will help you to decide what you would like. Personally, I love cheese so if I visit I usually try some of the cheeses from the cheese stalls. There are also lots of stalls with jams and spreads that would make a souvenir to bring back to Japan! The market is very popular so I recommend visiting early in the morning if possible. Usually there are lots of breakfast options. One of my earliest memories is going to Borough market with my family and having an amazing bacon sandwich for breakfast! So if you are not sure what to eat a bacon sandwich is always a good choice! If you would prefer to visit a clothing and antiques market I recommend Portobello Market. This is located in West London near Notting Hill. If you decide to visit here I recommend trying some Portuguese Custard Tarts from a shop in the area. This is one of my favourite desserts!
