INDEPENDENCE DAY
について講師のChristianが書いてくれました！！
To celebrate the founding of the United States of America, a national holiday is held on July 4th. This date commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, which is considered the official beginning of the United States of America as a nation. In celebration of this day, commonly called “Independence Day”, people go to parties and barbecues in the heat of summer and enjoy grilled food like burgers, hot dogs and ribs. People dress in the colors of the flag—red, white and blue— and hang the American flag all over, whether it’s their houses, on their lawns, or on the street. At night, firework shows are held all over the country, with the most famous being held in New York City and Washington, the nation’s capital.
Every year I love celebrating the Fourth of July with my friends and family. It’s a great excuse to let loose and relax and have a lot of fun setting off fireworks. Coming at the beginning of summer and not long after the end of the school year, the holiday is a great way to ring in the summertime, whether it’s at the beach, by the side of a pool, or anywhere in the world for that matter, it’s a great way to experience a slice of American life and culture.
