Hello!
My name is Steven and I am a Nova teacher working at Kongo, Osaka!
Pleasure to meet you!

I wanted to share how I have been spending my summer here in Japan so far.

As you know, Japanese Summer can be very, very hot.
So, I have been spending most of my time enjoying walks in local parks and relaxing in the sun.

Mostly, I have been visiting a local park called Tennoji.
This is because Tennoji is very beautiful, but most importantly has lots of wildlife.
Tennoji has a plethora of wild birds which I make an effort to visit and feed when I can.

I have always loved birds; pigeons are my favorite by far!
When I lived in England, I took time to feed pigeons everyday.

Whilst it is a strange hobby, I love it.
I am very happy that I have been able to recreate this here in Japan – as you can see in the photo!

Next week, I have some more time off.
You guessed it!
I will visit tennoji again and enjoy watching the birds.

Oh, by the way!
We have some special vocabulary for a person who enjoys watching birds.
We call them, `twitchers`.

Twitching is very popular in my country.
I hope you can try it too.
