Trader Joe’s is a local grocery store that’s super popular in California. It’s not fancy, but it has a cool vibe and tons of unique snacks and goodies you can’t find in Japan. Think peanut butter cups, cookie butter, fun-flavored popcorn, and even their famous “Everything but the Bagel” seasoning. The best part? Everything is pretty affordable and the packaging is always cute or quirky.
I love walking around the aisles at Trader Joe’s because there’s always something new to discover. Whether it’s seasonal snacks or limited-edition treats, you can always find something fun to take home. That’s why I always recommend it to anyone visiting California—it’s a chill way to grab gifts that actually feel local.
