Sawubona！（Sah-woo-boh-nah）.That means “Hello” in my home language 🙂
Sawubona, my name is Amanda and I am from South Africa.
My hometown is called Lamontuille, in the city of Durban,
in a province called Kwa Zulu Natal, where Zulu people(My tribe) live.
I love doing yoga and meditation because they both keep me healthy and relaxed.
My favorite yoga pose is the child ‘s pose which helps me stretch my body after exercising.
Growing up, I played a lot of different games, my favorite game was “ushumpu”(OO-shoo-m-poo),
which is known as dodge-ball in English.
South Africa is known for its beautiful people and for its famous game reserve called The Kruger National Park,
where you get to see wild animals up close. My hometown of Durban is known for its warm weather
and the famous theme park called Ushaka Marin World here you get to watch a live dolphin show
and see a beautiful aquarium.
My favorite South African meal called ujeqe nobhontshisi which is steamed bread and kidney beans.
My grand mother prepared most of our delicious meals at home, and we always looked forward to dinner time every night. I came to Japan because I love teaching English, and I wanted to explore the beautiful sceneries and learn how to speak Japanese.
I’m fascinated by the Japanese culture and how kawaii everything is.
