本日もご覧いただきありがとうございます
今週はかなり寒いですが来週あたりからとうとう春がやってきそうですね!
さて今回はイギリス人のAragorn先生より春の過ごし方についてメッセージをいただきました!
In the UK, spring officially begins around the 20th or 21st March. This is known as the vernal equinox which simply means that day and night are the same length.
For UK people, “spring” signifies the transition period between winter and summer, marked by longer days, warmer temperatures, lots of blooming flowers, and a general sense of renewal, with the months of March, April, and May considered the core of the season; it’s often associated with the return of vibrant life in the countryside, including daffodils, bluebells, and buzzing bees and insects, after a long, cold winter.
Spring temperatures, on average, have daily highs ranging from 12°C to 18°C with lows between 6°C and 13°C. So, it’s advisable, when packing for a trip to say London, or the countryside in the spring, to bring a warm jacket and some layers so you can easily adapt to the changing weather as the weather can be a bit fickle during spring.
Popular spring events in the UK include the Chelsea Flower Show, the London Marathon, and the Hay Festival.
Chelsea Flower Show
A world-famous flower show that takes place in London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea
A celebration of garden design, floral displays, and shopping
A favorite of the British royal family
The 2025 show will run from May 20–24
London Marathon
A 26.2 mile race that takes place in London
The world’s largest fundraising event
An exuberant event with cheering crowds, food stalls, and music
The Hay Festival
A literary festival that takes place in Hay-on-Wye, a small riverside village on the Welsh-English border
A book-lover’s paradise with many second-hand bookstores
One of the biggest literary events of the year
The U.K. is a beautiful country, but during the spring months she awakens bringing renewal, vitality and a general sense of happiness to all her residents. With floral smells, vibrant colours, fields of gold, yellow and green, spring birds singing with all the joy in their hearts, rabbits and hares competing for a mate, and a wide variety of mammals, the countryside during late spring is a wonderful place to be and a great place to have a picnic.
In what way do the Japanese celebrate spring? How does it make you feel?
Why not come and share it with us here at Nova.

とっても素敵ですね!
皆様も是非春の過ごし方について色々お話ししにきてくださいね!
