Happy New Year everyone! I hope you’re all having a swell year so far! 

During my winter break, I did a lot of relaxing. Most of my vacation consisted of sleeping, eating, and binge watching tv shows on Disney Plus . But one exciting thing about my holiday was going to Light Cycles at Kyoto Botanical Gardens! It was a night time event where I walked through the green houses and was able to see so many beautiful lights shining on plants with somber music playing in the background. There were four rooms within the greenhouse and each room had a different and unique atmosphere.

 It was quite amazing being able to experience a combination of nature and human discoveries like electricity. Between the lights, music, and plants, it felt like I was in another universe. I would totally recommend this place, but unfortunately it ended at the end of last year . However, if you’re interested in something similar, you should check out TeamLabs Botanical Gardens in Osaka! It’s an all year round experience and in my opinion, it’s even better than the one in Kyoto.
