Kanazawa’s Fall Leaves!
This past weekend I took the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and to celebrate finishing the test I went to Kanazawa to see the leaves change color! I chose the perfect weekend to go because the fall leaves were almost perfect! I explored Kenroku-en, the grounds of Kanazawa castle, and the nearby Oyama shrine! Each place offered a spectacular view of the fall leaves. The weather was also perfect!! It was a great day exploring and taking pictures.
Of course, I went to Omicho Market as well! There I tried Black Throat Seaperch (のどぐろ) and Firefly Squid (ほたるいか) for my first time. The Black Throat was delicious, but I have to admit, the Firefly squid was not my favorite. I also tried a delicious burger at a restaurant called “The Godburger!” named after the famous movie “The Godfather”. It was the best burger I have ever had in Japan! I also revisited a local brewery called Oriental Brewery and tried a Yuzu pale ale and Noto Salt beer! It was a very interesting flavor.
This was my second time going to Kanazawa and it definitely won’t be my last!
