Hello everyone,

My name is Elena. I’m from Albuquerque, New Mexico. New Mexico has a very dry climate. It has wonderful food such as tamale’s and green chile enchiladas. One thing that my city is known for is our mountains. At sunset the blue mountains turn pink. In Spanish sandia means watermelon, so they’re our watermelon mountains. We also hold the largest Balloon Fiesta in the world. During the fall the skies fill with hot air balloons.

I am a filmmaker who has made a few movies and is currently working on future projects. I love to make and work on films that make people think deeply. My last film was an experimental science fiction about climate change. I’m also working on a documentary about artists, highlighting experts in different fields. I’ve filmed dancers, painters, and photographers in America and Japan.

My favorite things in Japan are Japanese curry, the trains, and the Japanese language.

I really like to watch movies. I really enjoy Korean movies and Japanese movies, such as Ghibli. My favorite Ghibli movie is Spirited Away.
